This low growing plant is Dunn County, Wyoming. Started flowering when the bowl was filled, not before. As there is no Dunn County in Wyoming, but there is one in Wisconsin, this plant probably comes from Wisconsin (mixup from Wi to Wy?).

Plants are small with barbed spines. Mostly mat forming. Most plants flower very sparingly or not at all (but there are exceptions!). All grow very well, and take cold very well, although in nature most are buried beneath the snow during wintermonths. Not all forms like the wet Dutch winters though.
